In 1947, Dorothy shot to stardom as the face of Christian Dior’s “New Look” collection. She posed for all of the top high art fashion photographers in the 40s and 50s and appeared in countless magazines, including Vogue, Esquire and Town & Country. In 1953, Esquire did a thirteen-photo spread on Dorothy entitled, "The Girl Who Tops the List of the Ten Most Wanted Models. Over Dorothy's lengthy career, she amassed more than 300 original high art fashion photos for her private collection."
