Dorothy posed for the top high art fashion photographers in the 40s and 50s, both for professional assignments and as favors to help augment their portfolios. She appeared in countless magazines, including Vogue, Life, Esquire, Cover Girl and Town & Country. In 1953, Esquire did a thirteen-page spread on Dorothy entitled, “The Girl Who Tops the List of the Ten Most Wanted Models.”
Over Dorothy’s lengthy career, she amassed more than 300 original high art fashion photos for her private collection, many of which will be auctioned soon. Below is a sampling. Prints are available for purchase. Email dorothyriceart@gmail.com for inquiries.
