Dorothy accepted an invitation from Mayor Kollek of Jerusalem to create this collection. He gave her special access to historical sites, including inside the Western Wall where she painted one of her most intricate and impressive pieces. The mayor later described Dorothy’s collection as “the next best thing to being in Israel.” Her use of light and color captures the resilience and spirit of the people and place.
